Mobile Filmmaking Workshop
Ever wondered how films were made? Or have you ever seen an advertisement that caught your attention?
From conceptualizing a brain child to screening the final product, film-making is process that has recently garnered more attention with the development of mobile videography.
YMCA is proud to present to you a 2-day introductory mobile film-making programme. Targeted specially for Secondary school students, you will be able to work in teams to conceptualise a story and develop your story into a shooting script. Making use of mobile phones and taking on different roles within your team, the workshop’s final product will be a shot and edited 1.5-2 minute footage.
In this workshop, students will be introduced to the art of film-making and all stages involved in a video production. Through learning how to write a script, story-boarding, cinematography and editing, students will also develop creativity to pursue effective visual story-telling. Students will also be given the opportunity to work in teams, and thereby demonstrate this understanding by producing their own videos with their mobile devices.

Time: 9am – 4pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
